Our Philosophy
At our company, our philosophy centers around sustainable growth and the importance of building long-lasting relationships with our clients. In our pursuit of maintaining a manageable medium size, we focus on creating a balance between expansion and personalized service. This approach allows us to scale effectively without sacrificing the quality and attention that our clients deserve.
Most of our work is Construction Management with a GMP or converted to Stipulated Sum. The prevalence of Lump Sum Bidding as a General Contractor results in quality control and other factors being undermined by the desire to focus on increased profitability, which typically means very aggressive low bids to secure the work and then tough negotiations with subcontractors, leading to sub-par quality and increased Change Orders.
We believe that growth should not come at the expense of our core values. By embedding our philosophy into our operational strategies, we aim to cultivate a company culture that prioritizes client satisfaction and employee engagement. This fosters loyalty, both from our customers and our team members, which ultimately reduces turnover.

Richter+Ratner Leadership plays a strong role, whether visible or behind the scenes, especially in the pre-construction phase or each project. R+R leadership will always have a handle on key milestone dates and will review all budgets and schedules with the team before they are published.
R+R strongly believes in limiting the overall quantity of projects of the company, in conjunction with available resources, to ensure that our quality control is not jeopardized. This allows for leadership to be involved in critical aspects of each project. We understand that each and every project’s success and client satisfaction is directly related to our overall success. Leadership constantly monitors the team structure to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively, and in the best interest of the project.
